veg pulao
 
  INGREDIENTS   rice-2 cups  veggies chopped-1 cup  (carrot,peas,cauliflour,capsicum,beans)  onion-1 medium  cumin seeds-1 tsp  whole garam masala  1 bayleaf,clove,green cardamon,cinamon stick  red chilly powder-1/2 tsp  cumin powder-1/2 tsp  salt as required  ghee/oil-1/2 cup  water  for garnishing  fried onion,cilantro   METHOD    soak rice for half an hour  heat oil add cumin seeds and whole gram masala , let it splutter  now add chopped onion and fry till golden then add veggies and powdred masala  now add rice and fry   add water and salt  for the perfect pulao water should be one and half inch above the rice in the pan   first cook on high flame when water gets leveled with rice ,turn the flame on low   cook till done   garnish with fried onions and cilantro
